You are constantly applying for jobs but nobody calls you for interviews?
Please check this:
- Check the resume used for applying. Mostly, we receive as applications a download from LinkedIn profiles. In some situations, they are good enough. But in most of the situations, they are incomplete (poorly detailed on your experience), incorrect (check the spelling, but also your CONTACT DETAILS), or irrelevant (you need to put some effort into understanding what experience is relevant for the discussing role)
- Check the companies you already visited. I asked a lot of candidates if they were already in process with a certain company and most of them told me that they didn’t remember if yes or not. It doesn’t help to constantly apply for the same company (they already know you). Better is to contact the recruiter and ask for information regarding the role.
- Check the mandatory requirements for the jobs. Under 10% of our job applicants are relevant for the minimum skills required for the roles we post. We might guess that a JD is exaggerated compared with the real activity, but you must fit with at least 50% of the requirements. If there is a QA Engineer role (mix of manual and automation) and you are QAM, it doesn’t mean that you complete 50% of the requirements; but if you are a QAM Engineer and you have some automation knowledge (at least some courses) - you can try to apply.
If you want to have success, it doesn’t help to repeat the same things done in the same way. But it helps to change something and to do it again.
