Christmas party at work

3 years ago I wrote about some things to keep in mind when we prepare for the Christmas party from work. Of course, during that time we talked about parties “in self”, but I think that some of that rules can still apply nowadays.

Taking into consideration the social context, most companies choose this year (but also the previous one) the online parties. What does this mean? Companies sent to their employees' home some presents or some “packages” for the party. Everybody from the team joins an online conference, drinks champagne, and does some small talk with their peers.

What had changed since online parties? Human interaction… We all agree that is harder now to keep in touch with everybody from the team since remote working.

Buy Secret Santa is almost the same (maybe a little different because of the present who arrives by a courier); also sharing thoughts about this year and plans for holidays remain the same.

Let's have a wonderful party, even if it is online!

And let's hope the next one will be in a fancy restaurant, like in the old times!
