It’s in his kiss

I wrote during the last weeks about the 5 languages of love (the book / RO), about smiling, and a while ago about hugging.

To follow this line, I want to write down some (funny) things science demonstrated about kissing:

  1. Subconsciously, it helps us analyze if a partner fits us or not.
  2. It destresses us and it can be addictive.
  3. It strengthens our immunity and slows down the aging process.
  4. Kissing makes your pupil dilate, that's why we tend to close our eyes.
  5. It burns at least 2-3 calories per minute. But the sky is the limit :).
  6. while kissing, you use 23 to 34 facial muscles and 112 postural muscles.
  7. On average, it lasts minimum of 10 seconds (in the 1980s, the average was 5,5 seconds).
  8. Public kissing isn’t allowed everywhere: in Turkey, couples are expected to adhere to “moral rules”. Also, in Sudan, there is the belief that the mouth is the path to one's soul, so they avoid kissing fearing that their souls will get stolen.
  9. Countries with the lowest averages of kisses are Germany and Sweden (3-4 kisses per day); the “most kissable” countries are France and Italy - 7 times per day. Sometimes, it helps to know the kissing etiquette around the world.
  10. The longest kiss lasted for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds.
In the end, let's listen to a song - Cher.
